ONLINE AND IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS

Joe stands in front of a work in progress.

Quilt Freedom Monthly Online Workshops

My online workshops are designed to be fun, informative and three hours long. I teach them all from my Gallery/Studio in San Francisco unless I am traveling - in which case they will transmit from a different location.

Patrons get discounted access to these workshops ( $30 instead of $35) as well as early bird access to my other events. Patrons also have a standing invite to join Joe in his Gallery/Studio every Friday afternoon (schedule allowing). Click here to become a Patron.

November 16: Quilt Freedom Workshop 53: In Living Color

Quilt Freedom Workshop 53: In Living Color will feature my great friend, artist, dyer and printer Pat Pauly, known internationally as the premier creator of custom printed fabric with which she makes all her own quilts. I have had Pat on before, but only on Zoom. For this class she will be live in the studio with a few of her quilts, so we can talk about her approach to quilt making, her ideas about printing fabric and her life in Rochester, NY making art, playing music and living it up. A crowd favorite from her previous appearance, I am thrilled that Pat was able to make room in her schedule for this class. I'll have Carolyn Ducey from the International Quilt Museum showing some recent acquisitions and Julie Silber to talk about her shop in Berkeley and show some of her own recent acquisitions.  I have pledged to get back to my How To section and I hope to get Pat to share some of her techniques with us. Set yourself up by your sewing machine and get ready to try something new. https://events.humanitix.com/quilt-freedom-workshop-53
